The sounds of Charles Mingus, Dizzy Gillespie and other jazz legends filled the air at Union Baptist Church Saturday night, but these weren’t old jazz virtuosos playing. This was the Jazz Elite, a jazz program for young musicians from all around the tri-state area, many of them from Westchester County. The ages in the group varied from 12-year-olds to 17-year-old high school seniors.
